End of Fall 2025 Update

I always forget how much of a black hole the time between Thanksgiving and New Years is, but here we are and I feel myself falling deeper into that black hole. But I’m poking my head out to write this blog post!

Mostly because I want my local PDXers to know that I am hosting a reflective fish making craft night on Wednesday December 10th to make some fish for my Winter Light Festival installation. More info below!

October highlights include:

  • Finishing my Looperette quilt class. So many big quilts in that class! Very proud of everybody!

  • First time trying to dye with fresh indigo - that my sister grew!

  • Kiddo lunch bag class

  • We have cotton flannel at my drapery job and I decided to try dyeing some of the scraps to then use as “unpaper towels”. It works great!

  • Big tote commission for my friend Amy

  • Crochet cobweb at my house

  • Picket fence pieces for the border of my quilt that I promised myself I would finish this winter. I’m getting closer!

November highlights include:

  • Re-using the dust skirt I made for a bed about 10 years ago. I already started cutting into it so it doesn’t quite reach anymore, but good enough!

  • Skillet mitten prep for Reclaim It’s holiday market

  • Decided to be bolder and hemmed a knit sweater! I love it now~

  • Thanksgiving crafts at my sister’s - I made a pom pom frame

  • Darning class successes

  • Adventure Star quilt class is almost done!

Things to look forward to:
