June Update
Do you know anyone who writes blog posts as often as they hope to?
Happy first day of summer rainbow
I last wrote to you, dear blog, in early May. Here’s a little recap of the things I’ve made since then:
A bucket hat for my dad
My kite flying in Lincoln City, OR
Dye garden update: she’s growing! I have some flowers!
A safety vest for Nina
A hat repair commission - I fixed the strap on 4 hats, and did a re-work of 3 hats. This was a fun project!
Pile o’ safety vest inventory
Tiny mend - covering a bleach spot on my pullover
Added patch pockets to a friend’s pants, to also hide some stains
Finished up a Sky Cabin quilt class
Hat inventory for some upcoming markets
I’ve been chugging along - making stuff as often as I can and trying not to burn out. I’ve already been camping twice this season! And swimming a bunch of times! I am also battling tendonitis (I think I’m 9 weeks in?) and can’t use my right hand to its fullest extent (yay being left handed!) which has been a challenge. My quilt classes continue to bring joy, as do the commissions I occasionally receive.
My little business upgrade is that I made myself thank you postcards to put in my orders!
Here’s where you can find me in July:
Sunday 7/13/25: Radius Summer Market and Art Opening!
Friday 7/18/25 (and more dates!): Teaching kids classes at Modern Domestic
Saturday + Sunday 7/19 - 7/20: Vending at Portland Pride!
Sunday 7/27/25: Back to Radius for an Ice Dye class!
