Summer is Coming

Looking Back

What has happened since March? Let’s see…

  • Started a little raised bed dye garden (more to come on this!)

  • I made a series of cowboy safety vests in fun colors for the Portland contra dance

  • Made a collaborative art piece with my friend Daren for his birthday art show

  • Did some mending on a friend’s jeans

  • Finished one of my Adventure Star sawtooth star beginner quilting classes at Modern Domestic (so proud of all these quilters!)

  • Finally finished a custom silk shirt for my mom (also more to come!)

  • Added some quilt hats to my inventory

Wow I have to say that spring kind of flew by, in a way that felt like I just wasn’t getting anything done, but here we are - some proof that I really did. It’s nice to gain a little perspective! Perhaps a little lesson to be less hard on myself.

    Learn the basics of mending your own clothes - I cover a large range of options in just one class!

  2. Sunday, June 8th, 11a-2pm | Ice Dye Beach Towel @ Radius Studio PDX

    Leave with the skills to venture into the world of ice dye, along with your very own swirly color beach towel

  3. Starting Wednesday, June 11th, 5-8pm | Adventure Star Quilt @ Modern Domestic PDX

    Learn this classic quilt block, the sawtooth star and leave with a whole quilt made!

  4. Sat + Sun June 14-15th, 11a-2pm | Quilted Tote @ The Works Seattle

    A shorter opportunity to learn the basics of BOTH sewing and quilting, while making a sturdy and functional tote

  5. Friday July 11th, 10a-1p | Kids Felt Flag @ Modern Domestic PDX

    This is going to be a. really fun adult summer camp just outside of Seattle - you sign up for the whole weekend and then pick and choose what classes you want to go to! I’ll be set up doing tie dye :)
